Scratch board

My main part of this piece was the tree, I think I did an alright job at that. I drew mountains and a lake in the background. The scratch board was very dificult for me and took a long time. It was a fun and new project I enjoyed doing it. I wish I had done a better job on the mountain and lake. 

Figure drawing

I did my figure drawing of max. I used charcoal as my medium and the picture is life size. This took me a few days and really challenged me because I had never used charcoal before. Shading took a long time because the piece was so big and it was hard and boring to put in detail for the same reason. I liked this project it was fun. I wish I had done a better job on the face and the arm proportions.

Final self portrait

I used unique ideas to draw this. I used my peers as a source of inspiration. I learned new techniques to help draw hair and faces. I gained skill with the pencil. This is intended to say this a drawing of me. This is about me because its my face. I'm examining the issue of my drawing skills and how they need to get better. I picked a pencil which I'm used to using. I didn't try anything new. People at my table helped me understand important information. I responded to challenges while workin by erasing them and trying to draw them again. I analyzed my work at the end. I considered how the hair would work before I tried because it was very difficult for me. I didn't use technology as a tool. Max helped me with inspiration because he is a very good artist.

Skeleton face

I drew my face of this skeleton, I looked at some of my peers work for ideas on how to draw this. I worked on my skill of drawing faces in this piece and gained skill with using my pencil. This artwork is about who I am because it's my face. I'm examining the issues of my drawing skills because I'm not very good. I'm saying I'm drawing a face. Drawin a face was something new I hadn't done before. I used a pencil which was familiar to me. I asked Mrs. Rossi for feedback. I wasn't inspired by anyone. My face started looking bad because it wasn't proportional to the skeleton. I drew a face before this project in preparation. I used my phone as a tool.

Figure Drawing

Proportion and scale is important in figure drawing because the persons motion needs to be shown through their body parts. Figure drawing helped me draw full size drawings of another person, it helped me with proportions. Using the pastel helped me because it flowed on the paper, it was very smooth. It helped my work.

Skeleton Drawing

I looked at a skeleton to draw this. I learned to use my pencil better. This shows the human body and science. Drawing the skeleton was new for me and I knew it would be difficult. Looking at everyone else drawings of te skeletons helped me shape and shade mine. The skull I messed up on and it doesn't look good. When I finished I analyzed my work.

I came up with the idea for this drawing on my own. For this project I learned how to incorporate perspective in to my drawings and shading with pencils. I have always thought castles were a cool subject and drawing one was fun. Using colored pencils with regular pencils was new for me and difficult. I used regular pencils which I usually use as a meduim. I didn't need any help from anyone for this project besides mrs. Rossi. I messed up a little on the shading of the castle walls but mrs. Rossi helped me with it and I then shaded the walls much darker. I tried out how I would draw the bricks on a separate piece of paper before I started my main drawing. I used the internet for ideas on walls.

See Through Project

    I got the idea for my bag because I bring my lunch everyday and I also saw a plastic bag drawing, that I thought was really good. I drew some of the objects in my lunch bag. I think I have gotten better with using colored pencils and especially the white color. This art shows my lunch and how I bring it to school everyday. Initially I was worried about the transparency of the bag but I think it now turned out alright. I picked black paper for my background which I don't usually do. Another student drew a plastic bag a long time ago I don't know who it was but that art really inspired me to draw this. When I drew the tile background the color turned out wrong and I have tried to make it work out. Before I started my final I drew a few bags on small extra black paper and then I got it down, before I drew the final. I also used a few images from the internet for examples.

Jolly Rancher

    This Is a red Jolly Rancher I drew. I used red, orange, yellow and a little of purple colored pastels for the candy. For the wrapper I used white and yellow. I used black paper for the background so the pastels would show up really well. I think I like to use pastels more than the prisma pencils, they blend very well and I thought they were fun. 

Peppermint candy

      This Is a peppermint candy I drew. It has a clear wrapper around it. I drew this with prisma color, colored pencils. I drew it on colored paper because the prisma colors look best on colored paper. 

Contour Line Drawing of Room

I drew this contour line drawing of the room. It is of the projector stand in front of my table. I used pen as my medium

Blue bottle

This is a translucent bottle that I drew. The assignment was to draw glass on a dark background. I used colored pencils as my medium and I drew a blue wine bottle. There is a shadow on the bottle and I used ellipse's for the bottom and opening of the bottle. 

Marble Drop

For the marble drop i worked with Kaleb and De'andre. Our theme is Mario. I came up with theme when I saw something about Mario on twitter. I came up with the marble falling through the pipes because thats how Mario travels. The most difficult part was having the marble roll in to the very first pipe after the stairs. The marble travels through pipes and on a few cardboard platforms. I would change how it ends, instead of it just going through a hole. I was most proud of the pipes and the Mario theme.
